Built-in, high-strength rare earth magnets grip directly to steel surfaces, while the included mounting plate gives you the choice of hidden adhesive strips or screws for walls, cabinets, or backsplashes.
Built from durable, matte-black silicone, it stands up to daily use in both home and café environments. The magnets and snap-in mounting plate design also make it easy to remove when it’s time for a deep clean.

Versatile Mounting Options: Every PortaMount includes three different ways to mount it, so you can set it up wherever it works best for your workflow:
- Magnetic Hold: Three rare earth magnets are sealed inside the silicone, gripping firmly to any steel surface. The back of the PortaMount has a polished finish giving grip for a super secure hold. Perfect for attaching to your espresso machine or grinder (if it attracts magnets).
- 3M Command Strips + Mounting Plate: Use the included 3M Command Strips and the mounting plate for a clean, tool free installation on walls, cabinets, or backsplashes.
- Screws & Anchors + Mounting Plate: Use the supplied screws and wall anchors with the mounting plate for a more permanent and secure installation on walls.
- Easy to Remove & Clean: The PortaMount snaps on and off the mounting plate in seconds, making it simple to wipe down or deep clean when needed. Just pop it off, rinse, and snap it back into place.
- Compatible with 58mm and 54mm Portafilters: Available in two sizes to fit standard 58mm straight-tab portafilters and 54mm three-tab Breville/Sage models. The PortaMount gives each handle its own secure spot, keeping them off the counter and within easy reach for less clutter, and a cleaner, more efficient coffee station.
Installation Instructions
Every PortaMount comes with three different ways to mount it, so you can set it up exactly where you need it. You can use the built-in rare earth magnets for a quick and clean install on any steel surface, or attach the included mounting plate with either 3M Command Strips for a no-drill solution, or screws and anchors for a permanent, heavy-duty setup. The PortaMount snaps securely into the plate with a simple snap-in connection, and can be removed just as easily for cleaning or relocation.
Below are step-by-step instructions for each mounting method:
High-Strength Magnets: The simplest, most effortless option.
- Works directly on espresso machines (if they attract magnets) or any other magnetic steel surface.
- No prep required. Just place the PortaMount where you want it and the built-in magnets do the work.
- The silicone backing grips the surface to prevent sliding, even with heavy portafilters.
3M Command Strips + Mounting Plate: Perfect for walls, cabinets, or backsplashes where you want a clean, no-drill solution.
- Clean the mounting surface and the back of the mounting plate. Use the included alcohol wipe if necessary. Make sure both are free of dust and oils.
- Stick two Command Strips to the back of the plate ensuring the release tab is facing the bottom of the mount.
- Firmly press the plate to your desired location to adhere it to your mounting surface.
- Align the tabs on the mounting plate with the slots in the PortaMount and press until it snaps flush into place.
The mounting plate hides the ends of the Command Strips for a seamless look. If you ever want to move it, remove the PortaMount from the plate and pull the tabs of the strips straight down. They’ll release cleanly without damaging your surface.
Screws & Anchors + Mounting Plate: The strongest, most permanent option. Ideal for drywall.
- Hold the mounting plate against the wall and mark the two screw hole locations.
- Drill holes in the wall with a 3/16 in (4.8 mm) bit.
- Insert the included #6 plastic wall anchors into the holes in the wall.
- Align the mounting plate with the anchors and secure it using the screws and a Phillips screwdriver.
- Align the tabs on the mounting plate with the slots in the PortaMount and press until it snaps flush into place.

Compatibility
The ARO PortaMount™ is designed to fit two of the most common portafilter styles used in both home and professional espresso setups:
- 58mm Straight-Tab Portafilters: Standard on machines from brands with E61 groupheads like ECM, Profitec, Breville, La Marzocco, Slayer, Rocket, Synesso, Bezzera, Lelit, Rancilio, and many more. It will also work with angled-ear 58mm portafilters (such as Gaggia). However, for these styles, you must install the PortaMount at an angle so the portafilter handle hangs straight down when mounted.
- 54mm Three-Tab Portafilters: Found on Breville and Sage machines, including the Barista Express, Barista Express Impress, Barista Pro, Barista Touch, Barista Touch Impress, Bambino, Bambino Plus, Infuser, and Duo-Temp Pro.

Care and Maintenance
For daily maintenance, wipe clean with a cloth or rinse the silicone PortaMount under water. For a more thorough clean, hand wash with mild soap and dry immediately. Not dishwasher safe.

I like that the magnets are strong
Nice that it fits right on my Breville and out of the way
I absolutely love this, I got five of them just amazing piece of engineering highly recommended.
I can confirm that the 54 mm size fits Breville Bambino Plus compatible portafilters perfectly (or rather, the portafilters fit perfectly and don't fall out). The magnetic part of the mount works well, securely fastening to the side of my Bambino Plus without moving when I detach the portafilter. The material does appear to be good quality silicone, so I definitely recommend buying one.
